Sewing Technology is a vocational trade offered under the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) that equips students with the knowledge and practical skills required for garment manufacturing, tailoring, and fashion production. The course focuses on modern sewing techniques, garment construction, fabric handling, quality control, and the operation of industrial sewing machines, preparing trainees for employment in the apparel and textile industry.
Completing this certified vocational course opens doors across public sector undertakings, private industries, self-employment, and National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) opportunities.
Examinations & National Trade Certification (NTC) conducted under NCVT (Directorate General of Training — DGT).
Eligible for Indian Railways, Power Grid, State Electricity Departments, PWD, and Defense Workshops.
Qualify for 1-year paid apprenticeship training under NAPS with government monthly stipend support.
